What is Vampire the Masquerade

Vampire the Masquerade is a tabletop roleplaying game, focusing on vampires hiding behind our mundane world. Their clans and politicking were created long ago with the rulebook of the same name in 1992. Over the decades the rules changed and the world of Vampire grew a lot. Through various editions, numerous complimentary books, novels, videogames and a TV show. Community around this magabre roplaying is large. From local Chronicles (such as this one) to tabletop entertainment shows or Vampire LARP communities. Vampire the Masquerade itself is also part of World of Darkness that hosts other beings. Werewolves, Wraiths, Demons, Mages and many more. World of Darkness belongs to Paradox Interactive and White wolf. This webside focuses only on the Vampires. The clans and their characteristics, their politics and metaplot is intrinsic part of VtM rulebooks. The charcters, however are created and designed by me.

What is Brno by Night

Brno by Night is my Chronicle which is VtM term for TTRPG campaign. I made City of Brno the backdrop of Camarilla vampires and wove them in Brno rich history and shaped the clans according to legends and the City itself as we see it today. While the Chronicle I plan for my players will go accordingly to V20 rulebook, I'll use some metaplot elements from V5 like destruction of Vienna Chantry (The Pyramid) or later, the plot of Bloohunt. I am using these elements because of how close Vienna is to Brno. The Pyramid was destroyed in 2008. It was around 2010 when Brno was considered fasted developing city in Central Europe . Of course such efforts started sooner (like Vaňkovka project) but it was around this time when development of Brno picked up the momentum. And as the Chronicle storyteller I found it very curious. So I decided that our city must have been under Tremere influence but with destruction of Pyramid someone thought it would be the best time to kill the Tremere Prince...

In this kind of way I incorporate most of the information we know about Brno. Of course, I don't see vampires behind every corner...only sometimes. Brno itself is very inspiring in this regard and the characters and their stories simply grow in front of my eyes.
